Nutty Green Bean Casserole

    3 tablespoons Crisco® Pure Olive Oil

    2 cups sliced mushrooms

    1 teaspoon minced garlic

    2 tablespoons Pillsbury BEST™ All Purpose Flour

    1/8 teaspoon dried thyme leaves

    3/4 teaspoon salt

    1/4 teaspoon black pepper

    3/4 cup Jif® Extra Crunchy Peanut Butter

    1 (14.5 oz.) can beef broth

    1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

    2 (9 oz.) boxes frozen green beans, thawed

    1 cup French fried onions


  1. HEAT oven to 350°F. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms and garlic. Cook 5 minutes or until mushrooms are tender. Stir in peanut butter, cooking until melted. Whisk in flour, thyme, salt and pepper, stirring constantly, until mixture begins to bubble.
  2. ADD broth and worcestershire sauce, stirring until smooth. Bring to boil, then remove from heat. Combine with green beans. Place in 8-inch square baking dish.
  3. BAKE 25 minutes. Remove from oven. Sprinkle fried onions evenly over top. Bake additional 5 minutes.
